Role: Hybrid, In-person in Gig Harbor, WA, with up to 50% travel as needed
Farmgirl Flowers is seeking a collaborative and detail-oriented Product Training Manager to join our team. This role focuses on translating our floral designs into scalable, repeatable processes for fulfillment partners, from large-scale producers to small family-owned farms. Think of this role as the "patternmaker" for our floral "fashion house," ensuring consistent quality across our supply chain.
The Product Training Manager role revolves around three key areas: design, operations, and quality.
Design: You'll master the "what, why, and how" of Farmgirl's product design so you can confidently guide our fulfillment partners in creating beautiful, on-brand arrangements.
Operations: You’ll get to know each partner’s workflow, tailoring training to fit their processes while offering suggestions to improve efficiency and enhance the customer experience.
Quality: Maintaining high quality is essential. You'll help set standards, track results, and provide clear, actionable feedback to ensure partners consistently meet our expectations.
In this role, you’ll be an engaging and adaptable teacher, both in person and remotely, utilizing technology to enhance the learning experience. You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with Operations, Customer Support, and other departments, working together to ensure the overall success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Product Training Manager, you'll have the exciting opportunity to:
Create and manage training materials and programs that engage our fulfillment partners in embracing our "quality is queen" philosophy. Your goal will be to help them execute our unique industry designs efficiently and effectively at scale.
Adapt and enhance training programs as needed to respond to various factors, such as the adoption of new technologies (like BouquetPro machines), the launch of new product lines (e.g., mass-market offerings), challenges with product performance (for example, recurring issues with a specific flower causing redeliveries or refunds), and feedback from fulfillment partners (e.g., transitioning from table to machine production for better efficiency).
Visit fulfillment partners regularly to gain insights into their operations and conduct training or refresher sessions. These visits may involve everything from hands-on experience on the production line to discussions with the sales team.
Build strong relationships grounded in trust, respect, and shared success with our fulfillment partners, particularly their teams and team leads. This role requires navigating diverse personality types, especially during high-pressure, high-volume periods.
Lead bouquet-making training sessions both in-person and remotely, coordinating with the Farmgirl Product and Operations teams as well as our fulfillment partners. This includes preparing for these sessions by scheduling travel, sourcing flowers, confirming recipes and build types, creating and distributing training materials, and effectively communicating any issues or outcomes.
Ensure the quality and success of training programs by actively seeking and integrating feedback from fulfillment partners and internal stakeholders, including Operations and Customer Support teams.
Stay informed about the Farmgirl aesthetic and brand positioning by participating in product development discussions, understanding product performance metrics, keeping up with customer experiences, and being aware of competitor activities.
Be a key player in the product launch process by proactively communicating any issues that could affect a fulfillment partner's readiness to start, such as inaccuracies in training documents, missing Operations team approvals, or discrepancies in ingredient details.
Provide constructive, timely feedback to fulfillment partners as needed to address any design, quality, or fulfillment issues that arise.
Develop and implement a comprehensive accountability tool for fulfillment partners. This tool will help Farmgirl collect and share feedback regularly, creating a documented record of training, feedback, and progress. It will also serve as a valuable resource for addressing any performance concerns.
